Li River in China is one of those places that evokes a concrete yet non-specific emotional tug in heart of every explorer. Mont St Micheal is one of the most visited places in France

Let’s find out why these countries are so popular.

France

France is famous for its diversity, its history, and its numerous landmarks that attract the attention of the entire world year after year. Paris immediately comes to mind when one thinks of French landmarks, the Eifel Tower, the Place de la Concorde, The Sacre-Coeur Basilica, and the Champs-Elysees among others are all located here in this city renowned for its beauty and romance.

United States

Commonly refered to as the world’s last superpower, the United States has been influencing the history of the world since the end of the Second World War when the US filled the vaccum left by a war-weary Europe. This country has over 3000 cities, 365 million people and some of the biggest and best of everything in the world. Washington is where you can see the White House and the Pentagon, Manhattan Island is one of the richest and most densely populated, as well as one of the most famous areas in the world in New York. The Statue of Liberty stares sagely out over New York harbor, the Empire State building, built several decades ago, still dominates the New York skyline and California is where all the biggest celebrities in the world have their home. It is a country of extravagance and overt pride, but it is also fascinating.

Spain

The Kingdom of Spain is situated on the edge of Europe with the Mediterranean on the east side and the Atlantic on the west. It was once the superpower of the pre-colonial world, one of the first countries to develop and empire, its colonial legacy lives on across Europe and its history still influences the politics of the day, it is a fascinating country with some of the most beautiful surroundings in the world. It is known for the fun that can be had here in the sun and sand on the beautiful beaches, and one of its biggest cities, Barcelona, is consistently listed by Forbes as one of the happiest in the world.

China

The world’s next superpower, The Peoples Republic of China is constantly in the western news for getting offended by the US or for offending the US, it is the most populous country in the world, and is considered by many to be a totalitarian state, because it is also one of the last communist countries left in the world. China has more to offer than this though, it hosted the last Olympic Games, it has some of the most wondrous scenery outside of the cities and its people are friendly, despite the severe portrayal of them in the western media. Of special interest is the South China Sea resorts, the Longshen rice terrace, the Li River in Guangxi and Mount Everest in Tibet.

Italy

Italy is famous for its passion and its geography, which has rendered the country into the shape of a football boot. It also has one of the most significant histories, for it was the Roman empire (with its capital in Rome, which is now the capital of Italy) that shaped the history, and the modern dynamics and systems of governance that much of Europe now utilizes. Italy, in a sense then, was one of the very first empires in the world, though it didn’t know it at the time. Rome is a seminal city in Italy and wider Europe, it is one of the most beautiful, one of the most popular, one of the most romantic and one of the most inspiring cities in the world.

United Kingdom

The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland is the world's last colonial power, though much of its influence is now reduced, the monarch of the UK, Queen Elizabeth II remains the head of state in a number of countries including Canada and Australia. Britain is most famous for its Royal Family, the most influential royal family in Europe, and its plucky resistance to Nazi invasion during the Second World War, which gave rise to the myth of the ‘stiff upper lip’ that the British supposedly have. In actuality it is a very emotional and patriotic country, though it is also highly critical of itself and others. It always has been, and always will be, a huge tourist attraction because it remains fascinating and filled with old country houses to tour, palaces to poke around, a real operating royal palace to see, and various other landmarks made famous by history, books and television such as the infamous Tower of London.
